The hilts feature authentically styled forged guards and pommels constructed from steel, and wooden grips that are masterfully wrapped in leather cord for an aesthetic yet comfortable finish. They come complete with leather-wrapped wooden scabbards and authentically styled integrated leather belts.

Our Red Dragon Combat “Bastard Sword” is designed to replicate a 13th-century longsword. The broad blade is designed for slashing, and excels at this when sharpened. The 1mm edge makes this sword useable for HEMA (drilling not sparring) and stage combat, although some light surface nicks are inevitable due to the thinness of the edge. If being used for either of these disciplines, we would recommend rounding off the tip for safety.
