This roman cavalry helmet appeared around the beginning of the imperial era.
This reconstruction is based on a helmet crown found in Northwich (Cheshire / UK) and jowl flaps fournd in Gloucester. This replica bears lovely hallmarking, probably of a curly haired youth.
The ornamentation on the jowl flaps depict Neptune.
