Replica of a medieval caltrop, also known as crow’s foot or Wolfsangel. It consists of four sharp nails, from which three are forming the main pillars, while one nail always points straight vertical upward. The Romans already used caltrops, which were called Tribulus.

In Medieval thousands of it were thrown all over the battlefields before battle started to weaken the opposing cavalry.

Our reconstruction is hand-forged from one single piece of steel in such a manner that the single nails have been split off in warm state. They should only be used for authentic demonstration.
