Beautiful reconstruction of a typical, viking/early medieval short scramaseax, which was very popular with several Germanic tribes (not only the Saxon).
Used in the Hit Series Vikings.
This seax has an unsharpened blade of high carbon steel but a sharp point. The pommel is of steel and the grip is of bone. Comes with a brown suede leather sheath with knotted leather belt loops.
These seaxs were not only used as weapons but also or even mostly as a cutting, edging or curving tool.
The guard consists of two sheets from steel, fixing the horn/boneplate with two rivets. The handle and the pommel are from steel.
Delivery includes the pictured brown leather sheath.
